501 – Now Hiring Part-Time (As Well As Full-Time) Area Directors
Are you called to men’s discipleship? Or do you know someone who is? Many men have expressed interest in part-time work. Now you can apply for part-time employment as an Associate Area Director. Area Directors and Associate Area Directors fill out the same application. Here’s more about our ministry, and how you can take the next steps.
If you are passionate about raising up godly men, husbands, and fathers in Christ’s church, then come join us and help win our nation back to God.
Our vision: “For every church to disciple every man.”
Our mission: To help church leaders more effectively disciple men. We want to disciple as many men as possible.
Our target market: We want to make it possible for any man in the world to become a disciple of Jesus.
Our customer: Pastors and church leaders who share our passion to develop godly men, husbands, and fathers.
Our history: We started in 1986 with a men’s Bible study that led to publishing The Man in the Mirror book in 1989. In 1994 David Delk joined me and we focused on discipling men. In 2000 Brett Clemmer joined us, and we changed the focus to training leaders passionate about discipling men. To date we have impacted over 12,000,000 men.
Our goal: 10,000,000 men leading powerful, transformed lives in Christ in 10 years.
Strategy 1: We have developed a model that churches can use to disciple men with much greater effectiveness. We have trained over 13,000 leaders in the No Man Left Behind Model. Churches which implement the model see, on average, a 48% increase in the number of men attending in 2 ½ years, and an 84% increase in the number of men in discipleship (see graphs). We believe God has given us a stewardship to proliferate this model to as many churches as possible.
Strategy 2: We’ve launched The Journey to Biblical Manhood to give leaders the tracks to run on. This is a flexible, yet comprehensive and detailed strategic plan that shows leaders the steps to take to build an intentional discipleship process for all the men in their church.
Strategy 3: To put “boots on the ground” in local communities, we are asking God to raise up 330 Area Directors across America, one for every 1000 churches. We are training these men how to form an area coalition that coaches and equips local pastors and leaders to reach and disciple their men. So far, we’ve appointed 52 men through our recruiting and hiring process.
The math: We are in the process of hiring 330 Area Directors (one/1,000 churches) to help 33,000 churches each disciple, on average, 30 to 40 unreached men for a total of one million newly discipled men by 2015 and 10,000,000 men within 10 years.
The task at hand: To accelerate our mission, we believe God has led us to offer men the opportunity to become an Area Director as a full-time ministry or if that’s not God’s plan for you, as a part time (Associate) position.
