Recently I was in Houston speaking to (mostly) Hispanic men. The hunger I saw in their eyes to be the men God created them to be brings moisture to my eyes.
The problem is not that men are scoundrels (though we are). The problem is that we keep misdirecting men into activities (you name it) that don't transform lives. Christianity is not behavior modification--it's heart transformation.
The solution? Until a man is discipled into the gospel by a leader with a 2 Timothy 2:2 mindset in a men's group small enough so that the others actually "know" and "care" about the outcome of his life, I'm telling you it's highly unlikely that that man will ever reach his God-given potential in Christ.
