Every Monday we compile and send you a convenient digest of all the NEW resources we've produced in the last seven days. You can pick and choose based on the teasers. We hope they help you grow as a disciple and, especially, as a disciple-maker.
Last week, we rolled out the next challenges of the Journey to Biblical Manhood:
This week we take a look at
Challenge 5 - Disciplines:
Spirituals disciplines are the regular practices men cultivate when they want a closer walk with Christ. The spiritual disciplines can help us break a cycle or get us out of a rut. Disciplines are the spiritual habits by which we cultivate a deeper relationship with the Lord of heaven and earth. We perform these disciplines because we want to please God, to lead peaceable lives, be godly husbands, to raise godly children, and be men of God.
This challenge teaches men the biblical foundations of prayer, worship, fasting, meditation, solitude, and more. Men will learn how the disciplines are a means of grace to foster growth and how to incorporate them into their daily life.
Long before we get to the "meaning" of the Resurrection, the bigger issue for most of us was, or is, "Did it actually happen?" It's natural to have doubts. But whatever they are, they're probably mild compared to the doubts, confusion, fears, and sadness of the men and women who actually lived with, and deserted, Jesus. What changed their minds? What can change, or affirm, our minds? And what will change the minds of those we want to reach?
This week's Big Idea: What changed their minds then is what will change our minds now.
