The sports section of the paper says that the coach, after his third game, is in serious jeopardy of losing his job. You're kidding, right?
CEOs were treated like rock stars, worshipped as the high priests of our culture, and compensated like superstar athletes. Now, Jack Welch from hero to goat. Martha Stewart from maven to witch. It has become pretty amusing.
Our amusements have become serious business, and our serious business has become amusing.
How will this end? And who will end it?
