What We Have To Offer Men

Men are searching for answers, even if they don't know it. They are calling out with every new car they buy, every relationship they initiate, every gym club membership, every internet session, and on and on.
Our culture offers no shortage of potential answers. Success, purpose, significance, happiness, fun - a thousand options exist for men who are on the hunt.
What do we as leaders offer men? What is our answer in the church?
We only have one thing to offer that counts. It's almost ridiculously simple - Jesus Christ has the power to forgive men's sins and restore them to a right relationship with God.
Don't be deceived into thinking that the power lies in your strategies, ideas and plans. Don't think it is your personality, your leadership team, your bible study teacher, your curriculum or anything else that will change men's hearts.
It's all about the gospel and whether we really believe it. Do you think Jesus can heal and forgive any man no matter what? That there is no one beyond his reach?
What about the other men in your workplace right now? In your neighborhood? Whose children play sports with your children? Is Jesus enough for them?
They won't know unless we tell them. It's a simple message. Satisfy your own heart with Christ - then tell others about Him too.
Glad to be in the battle with you,
