Wouldn’t You Be Happier If Your Wife Lost 20 Pounds?

I’ve been married for 35 years, and I love my wife more today than the day we were married. That’s unusual today, mainly because some of the devil’s sharpest attacks take aim at our marriages. He tempts us to think we need to “change” her. Is that true?
Recently I had an epiphany, and here it is: If my wife lost 20 pounds that would not make me love her any more or make me any happier.
By the power of the Holy Spirit, I experienced complete, total, and unconditional love and acceptance—the same kind that God has for us.
Ask yourself, “Would I really love her more if she lost 20 pounds—or started working out, or dressed differently, or was a better cook, or whatever? Would it really make me happier?”
