The “Passenger”

from Patrick Morley

Volume 318
April 6, 2009

The word that best describes my life is “passenger.” This thought has developed in four stages.

First, I thought I was in control—that I had the wheel. Then I believed that I was in control, and God was my co-pilot. Later, I thought that God is in control, and I was the co-pilot. Now I realize that He is in control, and I am just a passenger.

My life is a mystery to me. I am at a loss to explain how I got to this place. I have no idea where we are going. God is doing things far too great and wonderful for me to comprehend. I am just so grateful that I get to come along for the ride. It is enough to be with Him.

Yours for changed lives,

Patrick Morley, Ph.D.
