What have you Accomplished?

What do you have to show for the last ten years of your ministry? What will you have to show ten years from now? And most importantly, over the next decade what will give you the highest return on the talents God has entrusted to you?
Think about this: Can you visualize any possible scenario that makes the world right without first getting the church right? If you agree, can you visualize any possible scenario that gets the church right without first making families right? If you agree, can you visualize any scenario that makes families right without first getting marriages right? If you agree, can you visualize any scenario that makes marriages right without first getting men right? If you agree, can you think of any way to get men right unless they become disciples of Jesus Christ?
I believe this argument is irrefutable. We have ignored this reality at a steep price: 59% of children will come to an empty house today, 33% of America’s 72,000,000 children will go to bed tonight in a home without a biological father, 50% of church marriages end in divorce. Why? Only one out of every eighteen men is involved in discipleship. Imagine fielding two baseball teams where only one player has ever seen a game of baseball.
What do you think? Can you think of any higher return on your talents than evangelizing and making disciples of men? If this is true, what are the implications for you and your church?
