The 938 Fund is part of a larger 938 project whose vision is to see the Lord call twelve new Area Directors to serve in SE PA and South/Central NJ (six Area Directors in each state). The name is derived from Matthew 9:38 “Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into His harvest field.”
The goal of the 938 Fund is to provide financial incentives and encouragement as new Area Directors work towards full funding for their ministries. When an Area Director achieves each of five financial milestones, he receives a gift from the Fund designed to help move him along more quickly in his ministry partner development. He then uses that gift as a challenge or matching gift to encourage partners and potential partners to invest in his ministry.
The total amount an Area Director is eligible to receive from the incentive milestones is $10,000 or no more than ten percent of his total first year ministry budget.
