After a career in social services and business, Brett joined the ministry in 2000. After experiencing life change reading The Man in the Mirror with a small group of men at church (his wife approved this message), and a spectacular business failure, Brett was ready when the opportunity arose. He has worked in almost every department over the past two plus decades, finally “settling in” to the President’s job in 2016. Brett grew up outside of Boston, and loves their sports teams (Go Pats!), but Florida is where he and his wife Kimberly have lived their entire marriage, raising two amazing kids. He is super active at his church, teaching, leading a men’s group, and being a spiritual father.

Rob Leonard is the Vice President, Director of Operations for Man in the Mirror. Through his role leading much of the ministry team, he is committed to strengthening churches and equipping Christian men to engage in meaningful relationships that change lives and build the kingdom of God.

Raised in Batavia, IL, Rob moved to Indiana at the age of 24 to attend and later graduate from Purdue University with a B.S. Degree in Building and Construction Management. He spent the next eight years working in residential land development and construction as a Project Manager.

He was one of the first few men hired to work as an Area Director in 2012 in his home territory of Central Indiana and has helped numerous pastors and leaders create discipleship environments in their churches.

He moved into a Regional Director role in late 2017 and began coaching many Area Directors while also continuing his work with churches. In early 2020, he accepted the role of National Field Director now having oversight for the entire Man in the Mirror field team. In mid 2024, he stepped into the VP Operations position and is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the ministry.

Rob is the outdoorsy type and loves most outdoor activities, including hunting, camping and vacationing on the beach with his wife, Michelle. He currently resides in Longwood, FL.

Michael Grimm is the National Field Director for Man in the Mirror. Through his role leading our team of Area Directors around the country, he is committed to strengthening churches and equipping Christian men throughout the North America.

Michael joined the Man in the Mirror in 2012 and was one of the first few men hired to work as an Area Director in his home state of Arizona. He began serving as a Regional Director in 2017 supporting fellow Area Directors in the Southwest Region. In addition to leading his regional team, he has guided leaders in the southeast Phoenix area and throughout Arizona through a comprehensive strategy to reach and disciple men, with the goal of changing lives and building the kingdom of God.

Michael Grimm, a lifelong resident of the Phoenix area, was born in Decatur GA, and now lives in Ahwatukee a suburb of Phoenix. Michael is an Air Force veteran, and has worked in the aerospace, chemical and electronics manufacturing industries. Michael trained as a Six Sigma Green Belt and has spent much of his professional career applying process improvement and problem-solving skills. He is a long-time member of his church and has served in various roles including leader of men’s discipleship. Michael is married to Beth, has two grown sons and 3 grandchildren. He and Beth enjoy the outdoors and going to the gym. You will often find him in the garage working on his classic Pontiac.

Scott Mawdesley is the Program Director for Spiritual Fathers and he exists to curate meaningful connection through caring development with a restful presence. He has over 33 years of ministry experience primarily as a pastor at several leading churches: Thomas Road Baptist Church, Christ Fellowship Church, Saddleback Church, North Point Community Church and 12Stone Church.Scott has traveled extensively across the US and internationally training leaders in personal growth and spiritual formation. He is the host of 2 monthly podcasts: The Spiritual Fathers podcast and the Dad’s on Tap podcast and he is the author of A Dad’s Bible Journey: The Torah, his first book in a series of books leading dads through the Bible to explore what can be learned from the dads of the Bible.Scott has been married to his bride Natalie for 23 years. He has a son in college and a daughter in high school. He calls Buford, GA his home (Go Wolves!) where he enjoys cooking, making leather goods, finding the perfect cup of coffee and discovering the next great book to read.

Jeremy joined the Man in the Mirror team to help develop new approaches to serve men specifically in their 20s and 30s. He is leading the way with analyzing research and developing experimental strategies (through Mirror Labs, our research and development division) to meet the unique felt needs of this group.

His previous working experiences included college ministry to LSU’s student athletes, missionary work in Haiti, and church planting in the inner-city of Jacksonville, Florida. He has served as Vice President of Creative Strategies, as is currently Director of Mirror Labs.

Jeremy currently lives in Orlando with his wife, Jenn, and they are trying their best to raise their four children: Effi, Wolfgang, Link, and Ender.

Jeremy shared, “I believe that men in their 20s and 30s today are in a desperate state. They are trying to become independent adults as they navigate foundational life milestones of career, marriage and parenting. Across the board, most will admit they are drowning in these new responsibilities in isolation. They need help. To have this opportunity to tackle difficult questions, develop new ideas, and move guys into deeper relationships is really exciting!”

Amie is a Business Operations Manager from New Jersey who’s as comfortable with spreadsheets as she is with chickens. By day, she’s a wizard of business operations, but by evening she’s a wannabe farmer on a quarter-acre lot. Her little pocket-sided farm includes chickens, rabbits, a dog, and even an indoor pig—because why not? Amie dreams of a future with lots more land and an even bigger menagerie. When she’s not busy with her farm dreams or managing business tasks, she’s indulging in her ever-growing collection of hobbies. Amie is also happily married and the proud mom of two young adults, juggling her professional life with a whole lot of fun and flair.

Peter was born in London, England, but lived most of his life in South Africa, where he enjoyed a successful business career. Before emigrating to the U.S. in 2005, he was the CEO of Stamford Sales, a national distribution company, founded by Peter and his wife Elize.

In 2006, Peter was born again after meeting Christ in a dramatic encounter, and in 2009, he traveled to India and Nepal in preparation to write his book A Big Life, which was published in 2011. Later, a second book was published, Boldly Whispering the Name of Jesus.

In 2014, Peter felt an unmistakable call to disciple men and was employed that year as the Southwest Florida Area Director for Man in the Mirror. He enjoyed considerable success in helping churches with intentional discipleship processes in the communities he served, as well as supporting other Area Directors as the Florida Regional Director. In 2020, Peter stepped into his current role on the Headquarters team as National Development Director.

Peter and Elize have four sons, two of whom are living in South Africa, and four grandchildren. Peter currently serves as a Deacon, Bible teacher, and choir member at his home church in Naples. He also leads the weekly men’s gathering Man in the Mirror, Naples. He is passionate about discipling men to grow to become faithful husbands, strong fathers, and disciple makers.

Craig Mayer is committed to strengthening churches and equipping Christian men in the communities surrounding Peoria to engage in meaningful relationships that change lives and build the kingdom of God. As a trained Man in the Mirror consultant, he guides leaders through a comprehensive strategy to reach and disciple men, while providing ongoing support and encouragement every step of the way.

Craig Mayer was born in Red Wing, Minnesota. He spent his grade school years in Southern California and has now lived in Arizona since 1984. He played 4 years of basketball at Arizona Christian University where he met his beautiful wife. Together they have 5 awesome kids, who are home schooled and love Jesus. He has a desire to see men become what God has asked them to be. If he gets his honey do list done you will find him at the golf course, and before you play a round with him he will tell you that he is a very high handicapper and needs strokes.

Kimberly is a born and raised true Floridian. She is married to her husband Glenn, and together they raised 2 adult girls and are currently raising a Chocolate Lab and Chickens. She is considered one of the long timers at Man in the Mirror well into her second decade. She says although the work can be challenging at times, the people she works with make up for it! On her off time she loves spending time with family and friends and most anything outdoors. Boating is always on the agenda, a perk of Florida living. Traveling to National Parks is also a love and yearly adventure if at all possible. They have a lifetime goal to visit all 63 in the U.S.

Barbara was born in Puerto Rico yet grew up in West Michigan where she married and started her family. A graduate of Cornell University’s Project Management Leadership program in 2020, also holds a degree in Healthcare Management, Barbara considers herself a life-long learner. Barbara and her husband, Angel, are full-time caregivers to their medically needy adult child and their quirky teenager. On weekends, she spends her time with family and her loving dogs, Louie, and Genji. Barbara dreams of serving abandoned and in need animals by opening an animal sanctuary one day.

As a Southern California native, Dylan now lives in Middle Tennessee with his wife and kids. While attending Reformation Bible College, he developed a passion for biblical studies and is currently a student of the Old Testament at Talbot Theological Seminary in La Mirada, CA. He is also an avid fly fisherman and backpacker, enjoying most of all the wild backcountry of California’s Sierra Nevada Mountains. Apart from his main callings as a husband and father, Dylan is pursuing his goal of writing and teaching in an academic setting.
