Area Director
Joe DeSouza
Palm Coast, Florida
Joe DeSouza is passionate about engaging young men in Palm Coast in meaningful relationships that change lives and build the kingdom of God. As a missionary in his community, he brings men together in community gatherings, equips mature Christian men to become mentors, and helps pastors and church leaders develop custom discipleship strategies. Using Man in the Mirror’s proven set of concepts and strategies, he helps men inside and outside of the church reflect honestly, pursue Jesus wholeheartedly, and live vibrantly.
Born and raised just south of Boston, Joe’s early days of ministry included serving in church worship teams and outreach ministries. After studying Pastoral Theology at Boston Baptist College, he completed coursework in Christian Apologetics at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. In 1989, he promised his wife they’d grow old together; three kids and 30+ years later, they’re right on track!
With a background in Mechanical Design & Quality Assurance, Joe worked as a Quality Control Manager in the aerospace industry for more than 10 years before relocating to Palm Coast, FL, in 2004. Since then, he’s served thousands in his community through his cleaning & restoration business.
Joe was ordained into the Gospel ministry while serving as the Associate Pastor and Worship Leader for Calvary Chapel Flagler Beach from 2006-2014, where he led others to “reach the beach” with the hope of Jesus! Today, he serves his home church as a worship team member, while also helping other local area churches as needed.
When he’s not using his 45 years of guitar-playing experience to alert the neighbors he’s home, he can be found roasting coffee, riding his mountain bike, enjoying time with his family, and trying to convince the grandkids he’s still cool.
