Man in the Mirror and Manhood Journey Launch “The Iron Circle” to Help Younger Men Find Godly Mentors

Orlando, FL – October 1, 2025 – Man in the Mirror and Manhood Journey are joining forces to launch The Iron Circle, a new initiative designed to equip younger men with practical tools to find mentors who will strengthen their walk with Christ.

Both ministries see a pattern: many younger men desperately want guidance but don’t know how to find it. The Iron Circle addresses this gap with free digital resources that make the mentoring process simple and approachable. Inspired by Proverbs 27:17, “As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another,” the first two assets from the program include:

  • The Iron Circle Worksheet – a free downloadable PDF to help men identify, approach, and build relationships with potential mentors.
  • The Iron Circle Weekly – a free weekly email that offers encouragement, practical tips, and biblical wisdom to help men strengthen their mentor-finding “muscle.”

Brett Clemmer, President and CEO of Man in the Mirror, said: “For decades, Man in the Mirror has been equipping churches to disciple men. By collaborating with Manhood Journey on The Iron Circle, we’re extending that mission in new ways. Mentorship transforms men’s lives – and when men flourish, so do their families and communities.”

“This is not about expanding our own ministry footprint,” added Kent Evans, cofounder of Manhood Journey. “It’s about advancing God’s Kingdom by helping men everywhere find the godly mentors they need. Men often want a mentor, but they don’t know where to start. The Iron Circle gives them that on-ramp.”

The collaboration leverages each ministry’s strengths: Man in the Mirror’s nationwide reach, proven discipleship model, and church partnerships and Manhood Journey’s digital toolkits and fatherhood discipleship experience. Together, the organizations aim to build a movement of younger men finding mentors and mentors stepping into these life-shaping roles.

Scott Mawdesley, Man in the Mirror’s Spiritual Fathers Program Director, underscored the opportunity: “We constantly hear younger men say, ‘I wish I had a mentor,’ while older men say, ‘I’d mentor someone if they asked.’ The Iron Circle will help connect these dots so those life-changing relationships can form and flourish.”

Men everywhere are invited to join the movement. To download the free Iron Circle Worksheet and subscribe to The Iron Circle Weekly, visit www.manhoodjourney.org/iron-circle.
