Thomas Fuller wrote, “The darkness is at its deepest just before the sunrise.” Statistically, it’s hard to argue that it’s been a long, dark night for the American church. But we believe we’re on the cusp of a new day, and every one of us has a role to play.

Christmas is often a time when the festivity of the season stands in stark contrast to the way we may be feeling. Imagine how Joseph felt! A pregnant fiancée and a long road trip, only to find no place to stay. But God is faithful—to Joseph and to us.

Many of the men not in church aren’t so much angry at the church as they are apathetic. It doesn’t feel relevant to their lives. If we want to be engaged in making new disciples, we have to overcome that apathy by prioritizing this deeply felt need.
