Why Your Family Thinks You’re a Jerk (When You’re Totally Not)
Have you ever been telling your family the straight truth only to realize they don’t care what you think? A father rendered mute in his own home. Me neither. But in case you have… Storming the Castle I recently looked at a quirky little corner of social psychology...
Digital Dominion: 4 Tools to Rule Your Workday
We talk a lot about the "Digital Detox." We warn you about the way algorithms are designed to fracture your attention span and disciple you into anxiety. But let’s be clear: do not believe the solution to the modern world is to smash your smartphone and churn your own...
Letter to a Young Hesitant Man
This week I want to speak to those of you who, like me, ache for a new season of being used powerfully by God. I realize not every man can take on a new challenge right now—for a lot of reasons. But for those of you who have been looking for—yearning for—a fresh...
LIVING WHILE DYING: Lessons from 2025
Former Senator Ben Sasse wrote recently, “Last week I was diagnosed with metastasized, stage-four pancreatic cancer, and I am gonna die. Advanced pancreatic is nasty stuff; it’s a death sentence. But I already had a death sentence before last week too—we all do.” That...
Technology and Modern Men
Digital technology is a powerful tool that presents challenges and opportunities. Its significant impact on culture can be detrimental to the mental health of young Christian men when left unchecked. Dangers of Digital Technology When Used Incorrectly The...
Lions are Mostly Sleepy: Why Alpha Male Masculinity Fails Us
I once knew two women who went on safari. They were sensible women, the types who pack extra sunscreen and sensible shoes, and they had flown halfway across the world to see the great theater of the African wild. They climbed into one of those open-top Jeeps like you...

The Infant God of Christmas
Strictly speaking, the only time God ever changed was in a manger. That is the problem with being infinite, omnipotent, and all the rest. The theologians have a fancy word for this: immutability. It means that God does not shift. He does not evolve. He does not wake...
A Humble Vision for the Santa Tradition
During a season marked by unity, many Christians have found a particularly unflattering way to quarrel. Truly, the Santa Claus debate has descended to new depths of ugliness with the advent of YouTube and social media, but this is not to say that the conversation...
Clocks and Gas Lamps: The Industrialization of the Soul
I think a lot about exhaustion lately. Maybe because I'm often exhausted. Whenever I feel this burnout, my mind always wanders back to history to look for the roots of things because I need to understand why we are the way we are, and why modern life feels so...
Gandalf is Not on His Way
We modern men all have a longing for a guide, a mentor. The wise man who can help us navigate the shores of young adulthood. We all, in other words, desire that singular, archetypal figure who has seemingly cracked the code of existence. The one who has it all figured...
The Great Feminization and the Future of Men’s Formation
When an essay detonates across the culture like a depth charge, it is usually because it names a feeling that was already there. Helen Andrews’s “The Great Feminization” in Compact Magazine did exactly that. In a few thousand words she managed to link everything from...

The Evaporation of the Sacred
New Adam Project contributor John Seel has an article on Aaron Renn’s Substack (https://www.aaronrenn.com/p/the-evaporation-of-the-sacred) that fits in really well with the conversations we’ve been having about reaching younger men. In “The Evaporation of the Sacred,” John names something many of us have sensed but haven’t quite been able to describe—how modern life has quietly stripped away transcendence, wonder, and a sense of the holy. I’ve talked to a lot of GenXers and Boomers who are...
